Generally, cut-off valves are recommended for throttling, regulation, and high-pressure pipeline systems; cut-off valves can be selected for two-position adjustment, light and small structure requirements, no strict requirements on structure length, low pressure cut-off (small pressure difference), and high-temperature media. ; In the mud, the medium containing particles of the same body, wear resistance, diameter shrinkage, fast action (multi-turn or open and close), and low operating force, try not to choose a stop valve; when it requires good sealing performance, high pressure cut-off (large pressure difference) ), low noise, cavitation and vaporization, a small amount of leakage to the atmosphere, abrasive media, low temperature and deep cold, you can use a special design structure of the globe valve .
Another important feature of the globe valve is that the seal of the valve stem can be replaced by a bellows instead of packing to form a bellows globe valve. The bellows globe valve is suitable for flammable, explosive, toxic, and pure media, and it can also meet the requirements of the vacuum system.
However, the globe valve also has its shortcomings, mainly caused by the internal shape of the valve body. In the globe valve body cavity, the medium changes from a horizontal straight flow to an upward or downward vertical flow, and then to a horizontal flow, which results in pressure loss, especially in hydraulic devices. This kind of pressure loss should attract enough attention.
