High pressure gate valve working principle:
High pressure gate valves are force-sealed, so when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the gate to force the sealing face to not leak. When the medium enters valve 6 from below the gate, the resistance that the operation force needs to overcome is the friction force of the stem and packing and the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force of closing the valve is larger than that of opening the valve, so the diameter of the valve stem should be large, otherwise the failure of the stem top bending will occur. When the high-pressure gate valve is opened, the opening height of the gate plate is 25% ~ 30% of the nominal diameter, and the flow has reached the maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the fully open position. Therefore, the full open position of the gate valve should be determined by the stroke of the gate.

Good sealing, small friction between sealing surfaces, long service life.
Disadvantages of high pressure gate valve:
The fluid resistance is large, and the force required for opening and closing is large.
It is not suitable for medium with granule, high viscosity and easy coking.
