What are the reasons for the damage of the valve sealing surface
The valve sealing pair is in a relatively static state without relative movement, which is called static seal. The surface of the seal is called static sealing surface.
The reasons for the damage of the static sealing surface are summarized as follows:
① The surface roughness of the static sealing surface is high, which is mainly due to long service time, medium erosion and poor maintenance.

② There is obvious indentation on the static sealing surface, which is mainly caused by the high hardness of the selected gasket or the mixing of sand, weld beading, etc.

③ There are scratches and scratches on the static sealing surface, which are mainly caused by violating the operating procedures and improper force during disassembly and cleaning.
④ The static sealing surface is seriously rusted, which is mainly caused by medium corrosion and improper valve selection.
⑤ There are obvious grooves on the static sealing surface, which is mainly caused by the failure to repair in time after the leakage of the static sealing surface and the medium erosion.
⑥ The deformation of the static sealing surface is mainly caused by insufficient stiffness, excessive connecting force and thermal creep at high temperature.

⑦ There are leakage holes on the static sealing surface, which are mainly caused by such defects as folds, pores and bumps caused by poor manufacturing quality.
8  Cracks on the static sealing surface are mainly caused by unreasonable design, poor manufacturing quality, improper installation or operation, and long-term alternating load.
The damage of static sealing surface is one of the main causes of valve leakage, which should be paid attention to.
